The historical study of TAP MPR in legislative regulations is an in-depth analysis of the history and development of legal policy in Indonesia from the era of Parliamentary Democracy in the 1950s to the Reformation in 1998. TAP MPR or Actions of the People's Assembly is a decision taken by the highest institution in the country in the era of the New Order, which has a major impact on the rule of legislation in Indonesia. In this study, the researchers analyzed the reasons why the disappearance of TAP MPR in the hierarchy of legislative regulations and also the urgency of how these decisions affect the formation of legislation in Indonesia. The historical study of the MPR TAP in these legislative provisions provides important contributions to an understanding of the history of legal policy in Indonesia, as well as recommendations for future improvements to the legal system. The method used in this study uses a juris-normative and historical approach. The results of this study are expected to provide a better insight into the evolution of TAP MPR and its contribution to the formulation of legislative regulations in Indonesia. With a deeper understanding of the history of TAP MPR, it is expected to find new perspectives related to the dynamics of the country's policy making so that it can further improve the quality of legislative regulation in Indonesia.
