Abstract

Working relationships are not as smooth as when they first started working, triggered by differences of opinion and disputes between workers, both individually and through trade unions, and employers. Industrial relations disputes often result in termination of employment relations. This research aims to find out the legal basis for regulations related to Job Loss Guarantee as a new program at BPJS Employment, and how the legal protection is for workers who experience layoffs in obtaining JKP benefits. The research method used is a normative juridical study by analyzing the laws and regulations that regulate Job Loss Insurance as well as by exploring information through books, journals and papers. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide insight and understanding regarding Job Loss Guarantee as part of the Workers’ Social Security program and the potential loss of the right to obtain JKP provided by BPJS Employment for workers who experience layoffs.
